Event description:
This is week 2 of our four-part crash course in singing from medieval musical notations. The goal is to provide you with the basic skills and terms you need to read most European medieval notations! All skill levels are welcome, whether you’re totally new to this or want to refresh your memory after the past virtual semesters.
This session will be the first of two on the basics of rhythmic notations including imperfection and alteration, focusing on the system associated with Franco of Cologne.
